This is my first pair of MTB shoes. I always wear wide shoes and the fit great. Would but again
I wear a wide (12EE) shoe, so it looked like I had no options for mountain biking, until I found Anamoly. Thank you guys for finally making a shoe for wide feet.
The shoes fit just fine, and they grip the pedals quite well. The soles are also quite stiff, which prevents my toes from curling and leaves my feet feeling less fatigued. I also like waterproof material.
There is only one upgrade I can recommend. The laces should be able to loop through the tongue to keep it from sliding sideways. Other than that, great shoes.
Really like the shoe. I had been emailing with Chris and he had advised me on size and fit. I have a medium wide foot and the wide size allows me more comfort and the ability to were thicker socks. When the shoes came I noticed that they were a bit stiff in the upper section, so I ran the laces a bit loose for awhile. After a short time the the shoes loosened and are very comfortable to wear. I liked the shoes so much I ordered a second pair so I can rotate them during the year. My one suggestion would be, to have a lace loop on the tongue, because the tongues keep migrating down during use. This is not a deal breaker and it does not cause discomfort that I noticed.
To some it up, things I like: fit, comfort, sole is grippy and is stiff were it counts, they keep your feet reasonably dry on wet trails . Over all I really like the shoes, that is why I got a second pair.
Well worth the wait.
Quite a wait for these to arrive in UK, but well worth it. My chunky feet slot in comfortable but still with enough snugness to ride in the dirt. Just done my first test ride and they were really good.
First wide flat mtb shoe that actually fits! Thank you for making these. Note: I usually wear a 10.5 wide but these fit well in an 11 wide. They are a bit unusual looking and don't breathe all thay well, but they're so comfortable that I love them.
I ordered the wide fit, and they truly are wide and comfortable in that way. The uppers look and feel like bowling shoes, stiff and with very little breathability, they run very warm but do not run in any weird way. They are firm underfoot while walking and noticeably slippery on smooth garage concrete. Traction seems to be almost solely based on where in the pattern of the sole that the pedal pins are. You can wiggle them around a bit to find that locked in placement, but it’s probably not exactly where you want it and it’s easy to bounce out in rough terrain. The rubber is very stiff in warm weather, in the cold I imagine they will be borderline not usable.
It’s a shame because the fit inside is very nice.
As a shoe for MTBing, they disappeared, they are confidence inspiring and comfortable on the trail. I cannot compare rubber with other bike shoes, because I can't find one that fit!, 510's and Crankbothers just don't fit me, and I don't even have that wide a foot.
As shoe for off the bike though... incredibly stiff upper, the fit around the ankle is not terribly forgiving. I really won't wear these unless I am biking and only biking.
As a bike accessory 5 stars, as a shoe it leaves a bit to be desired. They fit my needs on the trail, but I effectively treat them like any clipless shoe mentally, and put them on when I get to the trail, take them off immediately after the ride.
My wife and I are getting ready to start up with pickleball. I'm a tennis player from my high school days. Picked up a set of Anamoly pickleball shoes. Been wearing them to break in (which they are doing nicely). These feel very stable with good grip side to side. I'm a toe dragger when I play tennis and will probably do the same with pickleball. These have plenty of material for dragging my toes while playing. Have the elastic laces on my pair and am enjoying them. I'm looking forward to learning pickleball, at least I have the shoes figured out.
I love how they are sturdy and my feet feel protected. Since they are waterproof my feet stay dry when it’s rainy or muddy, and I don’t slip off my flat pedals. They are are also
Comfortable to walk around in and I feel secure ( unlike other bike shoes)
